hi there - just returned from sharm stayed at iberotel palace. fab accommodation . safe to wander about - just ber polite re hagglers - not too much hassle from them but impossible to buy anything as you get no peace to brouse. went in namma bay twice for dinner - recommend fish market /pomodoro for places to eat - dont pay any more than 20 egytian pounds for taxi. namma bay better for night
I'm looking at going to Sharm El Sheikh for a winter break but wanting some sun. We can only go end of Dec, no other dates are possible and I'm getting different weather reports online. I want to know if anybody has personally been to Sharm in December, what the weather was like and if they would recommend going there in Dec for a winter sun break.

We are due to travel on the 25th November, as written above there is precious little return, if we cancel. I’m waiting in hope of a change of mind from the FCO.

Main dish in local restaurant ( Tagines, grilled chicken, fish) = 3.50 - 5 £. Local tea, carcadee, fruit juices = 1 - 2 £. Can of beer = 3 £.
